| ABCSAnother year has passed, and the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery is pleased to welcome our recently board certified cosmetic surgeons!
These surgeons have shown an unrivaled passion and commitment to cosmetic surgery. Prior to being accepted into an accredited cosmetic surgery fellowship training program, all of our surgeons graduated from an accredited medical school and earned board certification in at least one of seven ACGME or AOA approved residency programs.
Surgeons who meet this criteria are then required to complete a stringent one to two year AACS certified fellowship training exclusively in cosmetic surgery. During this fellowship, they will focus on cosmetic procedures of the face, breasts, and body, in addition to studying the latest in nonsurgical technologies and treatments.
After their fellowship training, these new diplomates successfully passed rigorous oral and written exams, demonstrating a comprehensive knowledge of cosmetic procedures, patient safety, and best surgical practices.
